IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT ABOUT VINEYARD COLUMBUS’ WEEKEND SERVICES
Vineyard Columbus will be meeting exclusively ONLINE for worship services this weekend. We will NOT be hosting our services at any of our physical locations. We welcome you to join us online for a fresh message of encouragement and hope from Senior Pastor Rich Nathan at www.VineyardColumbus.org. We’ll host a live stream at 6 PM on Saturday, March 14th and a recorded broadcast at 9:00 and 11:30 AM on Sunday, March 15th. Streaming service for LaVina and online resources for VC 20, VC Students and VC Kids will also be available – see www.vineyardcolumbus.org for details.
As of now, we’ll continue our mid-week events as scheduled in our buildings. The Vineyard Community Center is planning to remain open. We will continue to post updated information daily on social media and our website -vineyardcolumbus.org/publicnotice.
A LETTER FROM OUR SENIOR PASTOR:
Dear brothers and sisters –
As Christians, we’re called to love our neighbors as we love ourselves and to sacrifice for the sake of the vulnerable in our midst. While Governor DeWine’s most recent order permits religious services to occur this weekend, the leadership of Vineyard Columbus has decided to prioritize the health of our church members and our community by canceling our weekend gatherings in our buildings.
This weekend, I invite you to join me online at www.vineyardcolumbus.org. I will be interrupting our current series on doubt to talk about “Navigating Worry in the Age of Coronavirus.” As followers of Jesus, we can and must respond differently than the rest of the world to the threats that we are currently facing. The scripture tells us that God is our rock, our strong fortress, and that when we build our lives on Him, we can stand firm in the face of any storm.
Also, group leaders - you will be receiving an email soon with access to online tools so that you can keep meeting as a group. Leaders, please don’t stop meeting! Loneliness, fear and isolation are also public health issues that we want to address as a church. At Vineyard Columbus, you hear us say all the time that we are better together. And we are! It also important that we continue to serve others, to remember the poor, and to continue to give financially to the church so that we can continue to serve our city and our world.
Finally, please pray! Pray for our government leaders that they would lead us wisely and well! Pray for those who are isolated or lonely! Pray for the sick and those who are at higher risk! Pray for our health care workers! Pray for the poor in our community, for those who are uninsured, for our homeless brothers and sisters! And pray for Vineyard Columbus, that we might be a voice of hope, a community of action, and a people of peace in our city.
